FiveM MDT Script
A mobile data terminal is the tablet police and medics use to look up people and vehicles, write reports and keep records between sessions. On a roleplay server it is where scenes get their paperwork: a traffic stop becomes a citation, a shooting becomes an incident report with evidence, and a hospital visit becomes a patient record police can follow up on. Without an MDT, that information ends up in Discord channels and in players' memory.
Cylex makes two separate MDTs, one for police and one for EMS. They can be bought alone or together. This page explains what each covers, what your server needs and how this setup compares with other approaches. For screenshots, prices and full feature lists, see the Police MDT, the EMS MDT and the MDT Bundle.
Police MDT, grouped by use
Patrol
A units page and a live map of on-duty officers help supervisors manage patrols. Officers can watch 586 city CCTV cameras from the tablet and pin the ones they use most.
Reports and records
Incident reports hold suspects, victims, witnesses and evidence. Warrants and BOLOs, citizen, vehicle and weapon records and licence penalty points sit next to them. A finished report can be printed as an in-game item.
Investigation
Blood traces and bullet casings appear at crime scenes, are collected and processed at a lab, and end up linked to the incident report.
Running the department
Bosses set rank permissions per page in game. Training is covered by FTO reports and auto-graded exams, and duty time is tracked automatically. An oversight role gives DOJ or FBI access across departments.
EMS MDT, grouped by use
Intake
Each patient gets a record with triage colour, how they arrived and legal flags such as gunshot wounds or suspected abuse, which police can follow up on.
Treatment
Doctors write prescriptions with dose and duration, each with a lookup code and a printable paper copy. Lab requests, surgery planning and ICU admissions each have their own page.
Running the hospital
Rank permissions, certification exams, duty tracking that survives restarts and analytics on medics and diagnoses.
Framework and resource requirements
Both MDTs need the same base:
- Server build 5104 or newer
- Framework: QBCore, QBox or ESX
- Database: oxmysql, mysql-async or ghmattimysql
- Inventory: ox, qb or qs
Phone integration: the Police MDT lists lb-phone, gksphone, npwd, qs-smartphone, okokPhone, roadphone, yseries and cylex_phone; the EMS MDT lists the same phones plus high-phone. The Police MDT also integrates with ps-housing, quasar, loaf, bcs and nolag housing; Cylex Apex Housing is not supported yet. Both detect your framework and resources when they start.
Escrow, bundle and subscription
Both MDTs are sold as escrow versions only; there is no open source version. Config files, locales and framework bridges stay open for editing. You can buy each tablet on its own, or the MDT Bundle, which costs less than buying both separately. All three are listed in the escrow scripts and bundles categories. Both MDTs are also part of the DIAMOND subscription.
How it compares with other approaches
One shared tablet or one per department
Some MDTs serve every emergency job from one tablet with separate tabs. Cylex uses two tablets instead: the EMS MDT is organised around medical data such as diagnoses, prescriptions and surgeries, and police jobs are blocked from it. The trade-off is two resources to install, but both use the same framework, inventory and phone bridges.
Live updates
In the Cylex MDTs every page updates live on all open tablets, without a reload. When you compare MDTs, check whether a change made by one officer or medic appears for the others without reopening the page.
Moving from another tablet
Switching MDTs usually means losing old records. The Police MDT can import existing lb-tablet data with one console command. For any other source, ask on Discord before you switch.
Installation, updates and support
After payment the resources are added to your Cfx.re account and appear in the Cfx.re Portal. Start your database and framework first, then the MDT; the tablet and prescription items for EMS are included. Setup guides are in the documentation for the Police MDT and the EMS MDT.
Updates are published to the same Portal entries and listed in the changelog. Support is handled on the Cylex Discord.
MDT script FAQ
Can I buy only the police MDT or only the EMS MDT?
Yes. Each is sold on its own, and the bundle contains both.
Can I import data from lb-tablet?
Yes, into the Police MDT, with one console command.
Can police officers use the EMS MDT?
No. Police jobs are blocked from it, so each department keeps its own tablet.
Is there access for DOJ or FBI?
Yes. The Police MDT has an oversight role that works across every department.
Which subscription includes the MDTs?
DIAMOND includes both the Police MDT and the EMS MDT. GOLD does not.
